AGGLOMERATION
Agglomeration can be defined as:
“A size enlargement process of powders, where small particles combine to form large
relatively permanent structures, in which the original particles are still identifiable”
At AMCOL Detergent Specialties, we have developed our agglomeration processes to deliver high performance, value added products to service the detergent industry.
Our Technical Support team have an in depth knowledge of both product and process development.
We are here to assist in optimising product performance and would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
Capabilities:
- Incorporate up to 6 powders with addition levels from 0.1 to 100%
- Use binders that produce the desired dispersion characteristics
- Binder temperature can be controlled to achieve the correct flow or droplet formation.
- Produce agglomerates to tight specification and controlled particle size distribution
(typically 250 to 1500 micron)
- Produce on batch or continuous processes
Capacities:
- Pilot Plant - Batch basis up to 500 kg lots
- Production units - Continuous basis with rates from 500kg/hr to 5 tonnes/hr
Packaging:
- Raw Materials - Bulk, Big Bag, Rigid IBC, Drum or sack
- Products - Bulk, Big Bag, Sack, Drum or Box
