Detergents - Overview
Dry blending of granular additives to laundry product formulations saves manufacturers
time, effort and money. Powder agglomerates, containing active components, are the
building blocks of modern day laundry products. AMCOL Detergent Specialties offer
a range of granular additives designed to provide functional performance via simple
dry blending.
Ease of Incorporation
ADS granules are easy to incorporate into formulations by direct dry addition. This
reduces the need for short runs of speciality products on your plant. It minimises
multiple clean-downs and improves efficiency of both plant utilisation and raw materials.
Increased Control of Addition Levels
Dry blending gives excellent control of dose levels, reducing wastage of expensive
active chemicals. Granules are available in carefully defined particle size distributions
to reduce the likelihood of segregation during formulation, storage, packing and
shipping.
Ease of Handling
ADS active granules reduce handling problems associated with conventional powder
additives. Granules are low dust and free flowing, which is important in feeding
post addition systems for all processes.
Product Differentiation for Consumers
Consumers identify product quality with distinctive product characteristics. Coloured
speckles (visual cues) and fragrant perfumes boost consumer brand loyalty. You can differentiate
your product simply and effectively by adding ADS coloured and/or
perfume granules.
Performance Benefits for Consumers
ADS can produce to order additive granules including many other performance enhancers,
zeolites, brighteners, photo bleaches, etc.
In addition to the granules, ADS is able to offer stable, high solid content bentonite
slurries that provide long term fabric care for consumers. Furthermore, bentonite
slurry can stabilise liquid based formulations.
